Farmed by Carmine Pepicelli, one of the most passionate and down-to-earth growers that we know in the game. His vineyard sits a few kilometres south of Gumeracha, at an average elevation of 450 metres ASL. The air is calming and fresh up here. Gentle east/west running rows and moderate vigour means that we are never rushed into picking this block; instead patiently waiting and tasting for tannin ripeness and flavour development. The resultant Tempranillo from this site is typically graceful in nature, framed with lifted fruits and lovely high-altitude spice.
