Clarendon

I used to drive past this beautiful amphitheatre shaped vineyard on my way to work, which was always held tightly under contract with a big wine company. Serendipity came into play in 2016 when the property came on the market, and we jumped at the chance to purchase it. The vineyard is nestled above the Clarendon township and is one of the highest in the McLaren Vale region, sitting at an elevation of 345 metres ASL, bringing great elegance to the wines. The soil varies from pockets of yellow clay to sandy loam, giving complexity to the overall pick. Each vintage shows us a new dimension and expression of this place, which makes up our flagship Shiraz that we make in a very limited quantity.
